It also acts as the queen’s working residence during the week when she’s based in London.

This palace located in London was the former residence of the monarchs of England until the reign of Queen Victoria. It’s an important palace to the royals as it’s where the Garter King of Arms formally announces the accession of the new king or queen from the palace’s Proclamation Gallery after the death of a monarch. 

This is also the London residence of Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Alexandra.

The car has a lowered back seat for added privacy and a police light mounted on top for when she wanted the right of way on the road. Princess Margaret also lent the car to other notable figures like Queen Elizabeth and Ronald and Nancy Reagan.

Over 10 centuries, the royal family has always had a Rolls-Royce present in their home. Many of these older versions of Rolls-Royce are still in their possession today.

Occasionally, the royal family sells one of the Phantom but it’s only to a private buyer. One of these was in 2014 when a Phantom IV was put up for auction.

Still, it’s not the only Audi the Royal family has owned. Prince Charles at one point owned an A8 and William and Kate owned an A5 Sportback and A3 respectively. 

For Prince Harry’s RS6, it was customized with RS Sport suspension, privacy glasses, and a Dynamic Pack that increased the top speed of the car to 174 mph. 

After a year of owning it, it was put on sale by a specialist auto dealer for a low sum that was surprising to all, £71,900.

The Lagonda 3.0 litre was a car of interest for Prince Philip in 1954. It was equipped with a radiotelephone which the Prince liked to use to make prank calls to other members of the royal family.

It was also fitted with a large vanity mirror so the Queen could check her appearance before meeting her subjects. The car once made an appearance at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games.

The Queen owns a roofless LWB Range Rover that she acquired in 2015. It’s a custom landaulet built via Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division.

The rear seats of the car were removed to allow space for the Queen and her family to stand and wave. There’s also a retractable roof that covers the length of the Range Rover for when she has finished her duties. It’s also painted in the same shade of claret as other of your Queen’s state cars.

The Queen owns a Land Rover Defender which she marks as one of her favourite cars. It’s been estimated that she owns over 30 of these cars. She usually chooses a similar spec for each purchase with an Aintree Green exterior with the most luxurious interior that Land Rover has to offer.

In her old age, the Queen has been caught on camera severally while driving her Defenders around her private Scottish estate. She goes on shooting parties with them and one of the ex-Royal Defenders that was displayed for public auction still had shotgun cartridges left in the glove box.

Aside from their homes, the family owns the most extensive real estate business dating back to 1265. It comprises residential and Agric farms that pull in millions of pounds in income yearly.
