It’s common knowledge that one of the major challenges electric car owners in Nigeria face is the charging issue. There are available charging stations in Nigeria, but they are not as rampant as in other countries.
In Nigeria today, there are several states it’s challenging to locate a charging station; as such, Electric vehicle owners in the country can’t afford to drive through those areas. On the other hand, those living in those areas can’t afford an EV.
While electric vehicles are spreading like wildfire as more and more manufacturers move towards EV cars, there’s no denying that EV cars will soon become the norm. The hope is that electric vehicle charging stations in Nigeria will also expand as their popularity expands. However, not every Nigerian has access to charging stations; owning EVs like the Tesla Model X is not (yet) on their agenda.
