During a well-attended event, the hand-built British-made Uber-luxury Rolls-Royce Ghost automobile was handed to the Emir of Kano at the Emirate Palace.

The first-generation Ghost sedan joins the Emir of Kano’s portfolio of luxury Rolls-Royce vehicles inherited from the Emirates garage. The renowned 1952 Model Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith, which conveyed the Queen of England during her first visit to Nigeria, and a Rolls-Royce Phantom VI are among them.

Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Fulani Emir of Kano, succeeded to the throne on March 9, 2020, following Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s dismissal of his nephew Muhammad Sanusi II.

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero was the Emir of Bichi until his appointment. Bichi is one of four rival emirates established by Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
