Joseph Van Vicker was born on the 1st of August, 1977 in Accra, Ghana to a Ghanaian-Liberian mother and Dutch father. He has a sister whose name is Phylicia Anderson and a stepbrother whose name is unknown. His father died when he was six years old, and he was raised mainly by his mother. Sun City was the show that brought him to the eyes of many producers as he was later cast in his debut film titled Divine Love, as a supporting character.
