The 2011 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI is an ultra-luxury V12-powered sedan that is available in regular and long-wheelbase body styles. This posh vehicle blends the British heritage with German components and technology, as the Rolls-Royce brand is owned by another automobile company, BMW. The Phantom goes against the Bentley Mulsanne and Maybach Type 57 while the long-wheelbase model goes against the Maybach Type 62.

The model can comfortably seat five, or four passengers if the optional rear bucket seats are chosen. To help in safety, privacy and social interaction, backseat occupants sit far back in lounge-shaped seats beside the rear pillars rather than next to the doors. Rear passengers can enjoy the handcrafted folding tables and an available video system.

If there is a word that can be used to describe the 2013 Rolls-Royce Phantom, it is superlative. As the flagship of the world’s most iconic luxury car brand, the Rolls-Royce Phantom is the most grandiose expression of luxury motoring of our time. For 2013, the Phantom receives a mild facelift, with new quad-element, full-LED headlights above linear LED turn signals, a one-piece Pantheon grille surround and smooth bumper, new wheel finishes and a redesigned rear bumper.

The 2013 model is an ultra-luxury sedan that is available in base and extended-wheelbase (EWB) body styles, with seating for five passengers, or four sometimes when equipped with the individual rear seat configuration.

The 2014 Rolls-Royce Phantom is an ultra-luxury sedan available in both base and extended-wheelbase (EWB) body styles. It can accommodate five passengers, or four when equipped with the individual rear seat configuration. The Phantom comes in one very complete trim level.

For the 2014 model, the Rolls-Royce Phantom sees only minor changes, which include newly standard daytime running lights, different wood cabin trim choices and new wheels. It is powered by a 6.7-litre V12 engine that produces 453 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque, combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rolls-Royce claims that the standard Phantom accelerates from 0 mph to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds, while the larger EWB version is a tenth of a second slower.

The 2015 Rolls-Royce Phantom is a stately, prestigious, ultra-luxury sedan and can be customisable. It is built and assembled largely by hand and this massive four-door combines relentlessly impressive workmanship and high-end materials even before you look at the long options list.

For a vehicle that weighs so much, the 2015 Rolls-Royce Phantom’s handling composure is rather impressive. The steering is light and communicative, and the Roller feels confident around turns because of its well-sorted air suspension. There is no getting around its enormous dimensions, however; in close quarters or on tight roads, the Phantom can be hard to manoeuvre.

There are plenty of executive-class luxury sedans, but none are on the same scale as the Phantom. The rear-wheel-drive 2016 Rolls-Royce Phantom is powered by a 6.7-litre V12 engine that produces 453 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque, joined to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The only real disappointment with the Phantom is its lack of world-beating acceleration. You would think that this sedan would have the speed to match, but the 453-horsepower V12 engine needs almost 6 seconds to hit 60 mph. In that category, that qualifies as genuinely slow.

However, the estimated fuel economy for the Phantom is at 14 mpg combined, with 11 mpg city run and 19 mpg highway run

The 2016 Phantom gets oak interior inlays while the extended-wheelbase model adds standard power rear footrests.

The 2017 Rolls-Royce Phantom has no changes, except for a new Zenith edition, as the model enters its last year before a predicted redesign for 2018.

It has an amazing presence, tremendously powerful engine, a wide array of high-end features and equipment but is hugely expensive and the interior feels a bit dated.

The 2017 model is one of the ultimate luxury cars on the market. Offered in four different versions, it is majorly considered to be the last word in high-end opulence among modern cars because you would expect it to be pricey just from looking at it.

Every Phantom comes with a series of luxurious items like a power-closing trunk, a slew of exterior cameras, front and rear parking sensors, 21-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front and rear seats and more. Also included is a 6.7-litre V12 engine that makes an impressive 453 horsepower and 531 pound-ft of torque.

For over a decade now, the seventh-generation Phantom has served as the pinnacle of the Rolls-Royce lineup. This monument to power and wealth exceeded expectations for what a luxury sedan could be, but towards the end, the sedan started to feel a little dated.

The 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom is a large ultra-luxury sedan with a seemingly infinite number of ways to be customised to the buyer’s taste. There are two versions available which are the standard Phantom and a roomier extended wheelbase (EWB) that adds roughly 9 inches of legroom.

No matter what body style, the Phantom is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V12 engine that produces a healthy 563 horsepower and 664 pound-ft of torque. It transmits power to all four wheels via an eight-speed transmission that uses the navigation system to change gears based on upcoming road conditions.

The 2019 Rolls-Royce Phantom is offered in two versions; the standard Phantom and the extended wheelbase (EWB) and both are powered by a turbocharged 6.75-litre V12 engine that produces 563 horsepower and 664 pound-ft of torque. An eight-speed transmission sends power to all four wheels.

For the money, you get a stately large sedan that has historically been intended to be driven by a chauffeur. The interior is designed with the finest materials available and is as quiet as a library, even when speeding. The closest rival would be the Bentley Flying Spur. It can also be chauffeured, but it is a little more engaging should you choose to drive yourself. It is also half the price of the Phantom.

The 2020 Rolls-Royce Phantom is one of the most opulent and expensive vehicles in existence today, with a base price that is more than double what some other large luxury sedans will cost you. There is also a seemingly endless number of options offered on the Phantom, from custom colours for the paint or leather to personalized headrests and bespoke umbrellas.

The 2020 model is offered in two trims which are the standard Phantom and the extended wheelbase (EWB). Both use a turbocharged 6.75-litre V12 engine that produces 563 horsepower and 664 pound-ft of torque. An eight-speed transmission sends power to the rear wheels.

The Phantom’s most direct rival is the Bentley Flying Spur because of its spacious, comfortable and similar level of customisation. There is also the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, the BMW Alpina B7 and a couple of other models from Rolls-Royce itself: the smaller Ghost sedan and the Cullinan SUV. Even compared to those models, the Phantom still feels special.

The engine is mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. During its performance testing, it ran from 0 mph to 60 mph in 5.1-seconds.

Warranty For The Rolls-Royce Phantom

Every new Rolls-Royce is protected by a four-year/unlimited mileage regional dealer warranty from the date of the initial purchase or registration. The Rolls-Royce Phantom with the base and the one with the powertrain get the same four-year warranty.

The warranty goes beyond a wide range of serviceable vehicle components to minimise any inconvenience that may befall you during the 4-year period.

Cost Of Insuring The Rolls-Royce Phantom

Rolls-Royce vehicles are ranked second on a list of 36 brands. They cost a lot to insure but should be affordable with ease if you can afford to buy one of these luxurious cars.

The main reason why you have to pay high insurance premiums for these vehicles is because of its exorbitant price tag. These vehicles do not come cheap. They are not the kinds of cars that the average person can afford to buy, and those who do buy them are usually prepared to deal with extremely high insurance costs.

However, the cost of insuring a Rolls-Royce depends on a variety of factors, including your budget, the level of coverage that you want, and the type of insurance that you choose. Your age, gender, location and driving record can also have impacts on your insurance rates.
