Osimhen started out his professional career with Ultimate Strikers Academy in Nigeria before making the move to the German club Wolfsburg in 2017. He then spent time on loan with Belgian club Charleroi and French club Lille, where he enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2019–20, scoring 18 goals in Ligue 1 and was named the league’s Young Player of the Year.
Osimhen beats Riyad Mahrez, and Mohammed Salah to win the Best African Player award at the Ghana Football Awards, The 24-year-old registered 31 goals in all competitions last season to help Napoli win the Serie A title for the first time in over three decades.
