Toyota’s new 2023 Toyota Prius is one of the fastest and better-looking cars in the world, and it wouldn’t have been much of a stretch for the company to claim that this was because of its design. The hybrid has always been known for its ugly and slow appearance, and it won C/D’s 10Best award in 2004. Unfortunately, the mass-market hybrid has started to lose favour among both buyers and staff members.

This is the first Prius with a fixed panoramic roof; it is an option on the XLE and standard on the Limited. The top trim also has a heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, and optional heated rear seats. And check out the integrated door handles for rear passengers, which are on every Prius.

The LE, SE, and Limited all have a smaller 8-inch touchscreen in the dash. The XLE, which is the top-of-the-line model, has a 12.3-inch display. The higher trim levels also have six USB-C ports and wireless charging.
You can add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to your Toyota with a Premium Soundsystem equipped with eight speakers. The company’s new electrical architecture makes it easier to send software updates and enhance the vehicle’s connectivity. You can also use your voice to control various features by saying “Hey Toyota.”

We’re expecting Toyota to raise the price somewhat on the Prius, but the base model should still come in under $30,000. Top versions will likely exceed $40,000—but maybe that’s not such a stretch thanks to the Prius’s newfound swiftness, high-end features, and, most of all, its undeniable curb appeal.
