The first official images of the new K8 sedan replacing the Cadenza aka the K7 have been disclosed by Kia motors. The all new K8 also rides in an FWD architecture though the styling mimics a longer hood of an RWD longitudinal layout for a more premium, luxurious feel. Also striking is the massive body color face area, long sloping body lines, a unique side window trim element, and a full width LED light bar.
The K8 is slightly longer than the car it replaces. Although Kia has yet to release mechanical details, it appears to continue with a front-wheel-drive, transverse-engine layout. The company does say that many of the K8’s design details—such as the interesting patterned grille treatment and the angular taillights—will make their way onto other upcoming Kia models.

The rear also features more of a fastback roofline and front and rear displays the new Kia logo. There have been no official interior shots but spy images show a massive horizontal display, horizontal
football style steering wheel with the new Kia logo, and loads of premium looking metal trim and silver buttons.
We don’t know yet what engines the K8 has, and Kia hasn’t shown photos of the interior, either. The car will go on sale later this year, likely starting in South Korea first. But don’t hold your breath for it to ever arrive on our shores.
