Lexus has launched the 2022 IS500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition, this special edition is here and it has a V8. Outside is dark chrome trim all around and the front end is unique with a bulging hood, by 2in, to hide the V8. It comes with 19 BBS wheels reducing 4lbs of weight each. The Launch Edition also gets a unique badge and two tone black and gray suede interior with silver ash wood trim. 500 units of Lexus’s new V-8 F Sport Performance sedan will be made in this new color called Incognito with a grey and black suede interior. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A range-topping IS500 F Sport Performance model joins the lineup for 2022 and boasts a 472-hp 5.0-liter V-8 engine and more aggressive exterior styling elements. The bulging hood, rear diffuser, quad exhaust tips, and subtle trunk-lid spoiler are all unique to the IS500.
The Launch Edition’s exterior color is called Incognito, and it’s a light grey hue that’s new to Lexus. Inside, the Launch Edition gets a serialized plaque along with grey and black suede upholstery, wood trim for the steering wheel, and a different startup animation for the gauge-cluster screen. The same black 19-inch BBS wheels offered in the Dynamic Handling package are standard on the Launch Edition and are said to be lighter than the standard 19-inch wheels.
The car was specially developed in Japan with a unique driving signature. Lexus promises linear steering, brake response, and more with a dynamic handling package, adaptive suspension, a Torsen limited slip rear diff, a Yamaha rear damper, and 14in front brake rotors.
