Mazzanti Makes a Comeback With an Updated Evanta Pura Corvette’s 6.2-litre supercharged V8

Mazzanti Automobili debuted the first Evantra at the 2013 Top Marques Monaco, which was more than eight years ago. Since then, the Italian carmaker has worked to develop the marque, providing the exotic sports car with modifications over upgrades in order to boost its sales. It received an Evantra Millecavalli variant at some point, which was powered by a twin-turbo 7.3-litre LS7 V8 engine that produced 1,200 horsepower.

Mazzanti has returned with a new version of the Evantra, dubbed the Evantra Pura. Mazzanti intended to express purity with this model, therefore he went with the “less is more” approach.

Mazzanti Automobili debuted the Pura, a new Evanta hypercar derivative, during the Florence Biennale in 2021. The new model is similar in appearance to its predecessor, but it is lighter and more powerful. It will be made in small quantities in Tuscany, with many customisation choices available to owners.

The Evanta Pura, the new base model in the lineup, has a similar appearance to the original but includes a number of improvements. Most importantly, it is 90 kg (198 pounds) lighter than its predecessor, weighing 1,290 kg (2,844 pounds). The supercharged 6.2-litre V8 from GM Corvette produces 750 horsepower (560 kW / 761 PS) and torque of 910 Nm (671 lb-ft), replacing the earlier normally aspirated 7.0-litre V8. A seven-speed automatic transmission sends power to the back axle, allowing for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of almost 360 km/h (224 mph).

The chassis is still built of high-tensile boxed-section steel with molybdenum chromium, and all four corners are equipped with McPherson struts (optionally adjustable). Brembo’s carbon-ceramic discs, measuring 380 mm (14.9 inches) in front with six-piston callipers and 360 mm (14 inches) in the back with four-piston callipers, provide braking power. Michelin tires measuring 255/35R19 in the front and 315/30R20 in the back are mounted on the OZ Racing wheels.

Pricing Starting at N330 Million

Mazzanti did not specify pricing, but the Evanta Pura is rumoured to start at over N330 Million and go up to nearly N494 Million for the Millecavali R flagship. What’s strange is that the model featured in Mazzanti’s official video and photos from a few weeks ago were called the Evanta Bronze, but it’s now listed on their website as the Mazzanti Pura (maybe because this specific example was Bronze).

However, only a few people will be able to purchase this exotic supercar because Mazzanti only produces five vehicles every year, and the Evantra Pura’s manufacturing is similarly limited. Well, you’ll have to contact Mazzanti about the pricing.
