General Motors Truck Company (GMC), formally the GMC Division of General Motors LLC, is a division of the American automobile manufacturer General Motors (GM) that primarily focuses on trucks and utility vehicles. GMC is all about trucks and SUVs. As part of General Motors, most of GMC’s models are essentially rebadged Chevrolets but typically cost a bit more, with unique styling and additional features to set them apart.

The full-size Sierra 1500 pickup truck is available in light-duty and heavy-duty forms and is GMC’s bread and butter. The Canyon exists as a smaller truck option. GMC’s SUVs range from the compact-crossover Terrain to the mid-size Acadia to the full-size Yukon and Yukon XL.

GMC Car Prices

• 2021 GMC Acadia

Starting price: ₦14.8 million – ₦22.7 million

GMC has made a few packaging changes to the Acadia for 2021. The Pro Safety Plus package, which includes several driver-assistance features, is now standard on SLT, AT4, and Denali. An Elevation Edition package is now available on the SLE and SLT and includes 20-inch wheels and black exterior accents. A heated steering wheel joins the Premium package for SLT and AT4 trims.

Those same trims can now be had with the Technology package, which includes a head-up display and a 360-degree camera system. The Acadia’s base engine is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder good for 193 horsepower and the optional 3.6-litre V-6 makes 310 horsepower.

• 2021 GMC Terrain

Starting Price: ₦12.5 million – ₦18.7 million

The 2021 GMC Terrain carries over with a single but notable change: Its optional diesel-powered engine has been discontinued. While the diesel wasn’t a popular option, it did at least help make the Terrain a little more distinctive with its high fuel economy and strong low-end power.

GMC hasn’t made any big changes to the Terrain for 2021, but it has given the compact SUV a boost in the driver-assistance department. The Pro Safety Plus package now comes standard across the lineup and includes automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and more.

• 2021 GMC Yukon

Starting price: ₦25 million – ₦33.4 million

The redesigned 2021 GMC Yukon Denali is so good, you’ll wonder why you need to spend more on the new Cadillac Escalade. The all-new Yukon bows for 2021 and it rides on a new platform shared with the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban but wearing distinct styling. As with the Chevys, the 2021 GMC Yukon will come with an independent rear suspension, a first for the large GM SUVs.

When it comes to large, three-row family-hauling, toy-towing muscle, the 2021 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL will be hard to beat when they go on sale this summer. Redesigned from the ground up for 2021, the new Yukon borrows mechanicals from the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban but goes its own way with unique looks and a few novel features.
