FRSC Ogun State To Impound Vehicles With Unregistered Number Plates

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State has announced that it will begin impounding vehicles and motorcycles with unregistered or unauthorized number plates on the highways from Monday.

The Sector Commander, Mr Ahmed Umar, announced that the operation would be carried out in collaboration with sister security organizations.

“Pursuant to the primary role played by the FRSC in advancing national security through rigorous intelligence, it has been observed that many motorists go about with unauthorised or unregistered vehicles.

“Therefore there will be a joint special enforcement with the police, the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps and the Vehicles Inspection Office to checkmate erring motorists,’’ he stated.
