The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu unveiled the first Locally-Assembled Electric Car, Hyundai-Kona at the Stallion VON Factory, Ojo Lagos.
The first locally assembled car in Nigeria was built by Stallion Group/VON Automobile at the VON Assembly plant along the Lagos-Badagry expressway.
At the unveiling of the SUV electric car, Sanwo-Olu thanked Stallion Group/VON Automobile for their great effort in making sure they accomplished such a project.
The Hyundai Kona is a five-door subcompact crossover SUV produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. The electric version called the Kona Electric (or Kona EV) was first launched in South Korea in the first half of 2018 and rolled out gradually worldwide afterward.
