“Don’t Be Oppressed, They Don’t Buy Benz Through Content Creation”: Nigerian Content Creator Warns His Followers

In a recent video, a Nigerian content creator blasted his friend who recently purchased a Benz and now wants to go into content creation to cover up his tracks.

In the video, he first shows his friend with his new Benz before he goes ahead to admonish his fans about getting oppressed by those claiming they’re buying cars through content creation. He tells his followers: 

“Person wey no know now will think it’s Content Creation that give am money. Guy make una no dey get oppressed. Me wey get 1.2 million followers for my TikTok account never buy Benz but you’ll see person who have 700k followers buying Benz with not even 1 million views buying Benz. Person wey no know will think na content give am money. Tomorrow person go post ‘Thank God For My New Whip,’ and you’ll think na content give am money. No be so.”

Since sharing the video, social media users have reacted to the post by saying:
