  • Make sure your car has the “econo” mode or smart controls: It helps to reduce the fuel consumption by the air conditioner. The “econo” mode is found in cars with climate control systems.
  • Open Your Windows: If you’re driving down a highway, you can turn off your A/C and wind your windows down to receive a fresh breeze. 
  • Close Your Windows: Leaving your windows open while your A/C is on consumes more fuel because the engine works harder. Consider closing the windows, and this will considerably reduce fuel consumption.
