According to reports, over 500 owners of the Ford Pinto died, and hundreds were injured due to the car. As it turns out, Ford Motors knew that the design wasn’t safe. But, they ran an analysis that proved it would be cheaper to run a possible lawsuit than to issue out a recall for the Ford Pinto.

However, the company’s analysis failed, as they lost the trust of customers, were sued over 117 times, and had no other choice than to recall over 1 million of the Ford Pinto car. Ford has improved in their vehicles since then, but it hasn’t still erased the fact that the company sold the most dangerous car in the world.
