On August 31st, 2020, what would soon become a twenty-month battle between the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the cryptocurrency vendor, Linus Williams Ifejiaka, popularly known as Blord, Chairman – Blord Group, began.

Blord, arrested in his home in Awka, Anambra State, and wrongfully paraded with 14 others accused of internet fraud by the EFCC team, has finally won a legal battle against EFCC.

Following the arrest, three of his cars were held in custody, but one was later released by the anti-graft organization while still withholding his two Mercedes-Benz and other properties.

Left without any choice, the Bitcoin vendor sued the EFCC at the Enugu State Federal High Court, and proceedings over 15 months commenced, which lasted until May 2022, when Blood emerged victorious against EFCC.

A few days ago, on his Instagram page, he posted pictures of himself sitting and standing next to his returned cars and captioned them saying,

“I finally defeated and deflated @officialefcc in the Federal High Court. My cars and my properties have been released to me. Never believed at my age I’ll be fighting the federal government. But, I have to fight for what is mine. This is proof that the Nigerian Justice system still works.”

He went on to thank a host of others who supported him through the legal battle saying,

“Big thank you to everyone that cared, and a big big shout out to my legal teams @sniperkc. You guys worked tirelessly to achieve this. I was born to break the ice. This win is for the youth. Let’s learn to fight for what is ours. Shout out to those trading with Blord. Brag for me, it ain’t easy, Bitcoinlord family. I MADE HISTORY.”
