The APC candidate for governor won in 17 of the state’s 22 LGAs. He got 473,933 votes, which was more than the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) candidates, who each got 223,914 votes and 41,841 votes.

On May 29, Governor Samuel Ortom of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will step down, and Alia will take his place. Reverend father Hyacinth Alia may use a Lexus LX 570 as his official car as the Executive Governor of Benue State.

Why Most Governors In Nigeria Use Bulletproof Lexus LX 570 Suv As Official Vehicle

The use of bulletproof Lexus LX 570 SUVs as official vehicles by governors in Nigeria is largely driven by security concerns. Nigeria has been grappling with issues of insecurity such as terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of violent crimes.

The bulletproof Lexus LX 570 SUV is considered one of the safest and most secure vehicles in the market, with excellent protection against ballistic threats and other forms of attack. This makes it a popular choice for high-profile individuals such as governors who are often targets of attacks by criminals.

In addition to security concerns, the Lexus brand is also known for its luxury, durability, and reliability. The LX 570 SUV is spacious, comfortable, and can withstand tough terrain, making it suitable for rugged roads and harsh weather conditions in many parts of Nigeria.

Furthermore, the use of official vehicles is a common practice in many countries, and Nigeria is no exception. It is considered a symbol of power and authority, and the choice of a bulletproof Lexus LX 570 SUV as an official vehicle further reinforces this perception.
