There’s yet another big reveal that Aston Martin has unfolded. It’s the open-cockpit—the DBR22 supercar.

Mainly, the DBR22 was built to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Q by Aston Martin, the brand’s bespoke customization division. Only a few of these cars will be made for select customers.

The reveal is set to be showcased at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this week. Looking at the DBR22, you’ll realize that it draws inspiration from the iconic Aston racecars such as the DBR1 and DB3S.
At first glance, it looks similar to the V12 Speedster, but several other key differences exist.
At the front of the car is a unique carbon fibre grille without the typical pattern of other Aston Martin grilles.
The DBR22 also features a small windscreen, whereas only some optional wind deflectors are on the V12 Speedster.
You’ll also find a set of unique centre-locking 21-inch wheels and a horseshoe-shaped vent in the hood to set the Aston Martin DBR22 apart.
The larger vents in the front quarter panels and sleeker flying buttresses at the back of the car also gives it a more purposeful and streamlined appearance.
Underneath, it features a 3D-printed rear subframe, marking it the first time Aston Marti has used such technology.
Aston DBR22 Engine & Speed Performace
Like the Aston V12 Speedster, the DBR22 features the same 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine hooked up to an eight-speed transmission. However, the DBR22 engine is slightly more powerful, with 750 horsepower.
It’s faster, too, with a top speed of 319km/h (198mph), and it gets 0-97km/h (0-60mph) in just 3.4 seconds.
What’s In The Interior Of The DBR22?
However, the interior is slightly similar to the Speedster, with the same buttons and screens.
The significant change is the lack of the chassis-stiffening bar that runs down the middle of the Speedster’s cabin.
The new Aston will be live at the 2022 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance from August 19 to 21.
