Segun Arinze Biography 

Segun Padonou Aina, popularly known as Segun Arinze was born on the 24th of September, 1965 in Onitsha, Anambra State. The 56 years old actor was born to a Yoruba father and Igbo mother. He is partly from Onitsha, Anambra State and Badagry, Lagos State a Yoruba part of Nigeria. 

Segun did his primary education and obtained his First School Leaving in Onitsha, Anambra State. He later attended Victory College of Commerce in Ilorin and then moved on to Taba Commercial College in Kaduna State to complete his secondary education. For his University degree, Segun studied Dramatic Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University. 

The actor got married in 2008 to another Nollywood actor, Ann Njemanze. The couple also birthed a daughter, Morenike. However, the marriage hit the rocks following allegations and counter-allegations of infidelity between them. Two years later, in 2010, they divorced and announced it to the general public. 

Currently, Segun Arinze is married to his new wife, Julie Arinze, a lawyer and staff of Schlumberger, a multinational company in Nigeria, who hails from Oguta, Imo State and the couple birthed three kids(two boys, one girl).

Acting began for Segun Arinze in Ilorin, Kwara state, where he started acting in secondary school. He started as a participant in drama and stage plays. 

Before starting acting, Segun briefly did music where he had his first music album, Dreams in 1992. Still, in the early 1990s Nigeria, Segun joined the Nigerian Movie Industry. He has since then starred in over 250 Nollywood movies, with his fame coming from his role in the Nollywood blockbuster movie, Black Arrow and the soap opera Ripples.
