Ahmed Musa was born on the 14th of October 1992 in Jos, Nigeria. He is a native of Borno State, Nigeria and he is a Muslim by faith. He plays as a forward and left winger for Al-Nassr, a Saudi-Arabian team, and the Nigerian national team- The Super Eagles.

He was born to a Christian mother from Edo state and a Muslim father from Borno state. He was born into a polygamous family, but Ahmed Musa lost his father in 1999 when he was just 7 years old. Ahmed Musa began his football career in the GBS football academy in Jos. In 2008, he was loaned to JUTH.FC, where he played in 18 games. He was then sent to Kano Pillars F.C., on another loan. He used to hold the record for the highest goals ever made in one season in the Nigerian Premier League history. In 2010, Ahmed Musa was transferred to VVV-Venlo, a Dutch club but he was unable to play at the time because he was 17 years of age.
