2022 Toyota Land Cruiser 300, JAC Pickup presented to Olubadan designate by Oyo State Gov.

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, presented a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV and Jac pickup truck to Olubadan-designate ahead of coronation. The vehicles were presented to the Olubadan-designate on Wednesday, ahead of his coronation which is due to happen today Friday, March 11, 2022.

The Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has presented a brand new 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series SUV and a Jac Pickup truck to his Oba (Dr.) Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun (Alli Okunmade II).

Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, the Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government helped present the car keys to Senator Kola Balogun, who received them on behalf of the Olubadan-designate, at his residence.

Governor Seyi Makinde had, on February 14, approved the appointment of 79 year old Lekan Balogun as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland saying: “I am pleased to announce the appointment of the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Lekan Balogun as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland.”

The appointment is in line with the Olubadan of Ibadan Chieftaincy Declaration, as well as the unique and time-tested tradition of our people.

Lekan Balogun, a prominent technocrat and political, will succeed late Saliu Adetunji as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan.

“On behalf of the government and good people of Oyo State, I wish the newly confirmed Olubadan a successful reign blessed with peace and unprecedented progress.” The Governor also said.
