Meet the 2022 Mercedes-Maybach S650 which has made a quiet media reveal with no big event. If the new Mercedes S-Class somehow isn’t luxurious enough for you, the German automaker’s Maybach division offers an even more opulent variant. Last year, the 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S debuted with a seven-inch longer wheelbase than the regular S-Class providing more rear legroom. There are also loads of V12 badges.
The Maybach features a 7 in longer wheelbase, active noise compensation, and way more. Outside it is more distinct than ever with this bold Maybach grille, front bumper, chrome side trim, glowing side badge, and unique wheel options with revised 20in monoblocks and stunning new 21in wheels as well. Rear steer is standard as are most safety features.
The W223 S Class Maybach in the S580 trim makes 496HP and 516 lb-ft of torque from a 4.0L TT V8 paired to a 48v mild hybrid system. Then comes the 6.0L TT V12 in the S680 Maybach possibly making 621HP and 738 lb-ft of torque and paired to 4Matic AWD. AMG is only making their V12 for the Maybach and Pagani.
But inside is even more Maybach than ever as well. Rear passengers can get adjustable seats with recline, heating, cooling, massaging…heated armrests and door panels, foot rests with calf massage, pillows, tables, champagne flutes and more. The interior trim is more elegant too with striped wood trim on the doors, seat backs, more Maybach logos and specific parts like the gas and break pedals. Upfront is the 12.8in MBUX screen and the 12.3in gauge cluster while the rear gets dual 11.6in displays.
