The 2020 Toyota Hilux is equipped with two engine options which are a 2.4-litre or a 2.8-litre engine. A six-speed automatic gearbox is included to help the truck sprint from 0 mph to 62 mph in 12.8 seconds. Toyota has also done changes by reducing the idling from 850 rpm to 680 rpm which will make it result in better fuel efficiency and more refinement.
The 2.4-litre engine that comes with the six-speed manual gearbox is offered in single cab, extra cab or double cab styles with the option of either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive system. The six-speed automatic gearbox is offered in the extra cab and double cab body styles with only a four-wheel-drive system.
The car boasts of producing 240 horsepower from its engine and 500Nm of torque. The on snd off-road driving capabilities have been improved and Toyota keeps making really great trucks for both working-class and lifestyle buyers.
2020 Toyota Hilux Exterior
The exterior of the 2020 Toyota Hilux features a new front fascia but no structural changes have been made. The look is now bolder and more aggressive because of the three-dimensional grille. The bumpers have been redesigned and make the fog lights much more prominent. There are now new LED headlamps and taillights. Few graphic elements have been added to the side profile to make the vehicle look quite fresh. The wheels are now 18-inch machine-finished black wheels that look hot. The truck was supposed to have three new colour additions which are Emotional Red II, Oxide Bronze Metallic, and Dark blue but only the Bronze Metallic was announced. Other exterior colours include; Graphite, Feverish red, Eclipse black, Glacier white, Crystal pearl, Saturn blue, Silver sky, Nebula blue, and Oxide brown.
2020 Toyota Hilux Interior
The interior cabin of the 2020 Toyota Hilux is not any different from the 2019 model. Toyota equipped a new combi meter design in the instrument cluster. For the tech features, a new eight-inch infotainment system with buttons and knobs is the most noticeable.
The interior design is brief and the Hilux seems sophisticated inside. Some of the plastics used to construct it feels scratchier and breakable than those found in other passenger cars of the same type. Even still, the impression is still like the owner is inside a car rather than a truck. All Toyota Hiluxes have the Toyota’s Touch 2 infotainment touchscreen. It is a seven-inch display and is pretty decent to use but it is still not known how it will act with grimy gloves and when the vehicle is used for day-to-day activities.
