Powering M’s smallest performance model is BMW’s turbocharged S55 inline-six engine. It makes 444 horsepower (327 kilowatts) and 406 pound-feet (550 Newton-meters) of torque – 39 more horsepower (29 kilowatts) than the M2 competition. The mill pairs with either a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic or six-speed manual transmission.

Exterior

Right off the bat, we love this color. It reminds me of nitrous blue off of my old Ford Focus RS. That fits it to a tee love the halo high lighting daytime running lamps all LED everything blacked out. We come down here’s going to be some of those changes. So, we have large open-air intakes just like on the M2 competition, but do you see this little guy down there this lower lip spoiler all-carbon-fiber going to give us extra downforce.

And also allow more air to go into those open things now as we come across the front. We were calling this the butterfly grill. It’s that iconic 2020 BMW M2 CS kidney-shaped grill over time it’s been stretched apart a little bit, but it still has that overall design that kidney-shaped grille design.

Interior

Inside the 2020 M2, CS is beautiful. What’s happening inside here, you could feel the extra specialness of this car one. Go to the door panels look at that Alcantara material. The red stitching the beautiful leather on the armrest and carbon fiber on the door handle pulls elegant just like from underneath the hood.

This does have the Harman Kardon optional sound system, lovely aluminum speaker covers as we come to the – soft material Alcantara. You see this look at what they put the CS into this material nicely done. You have your horizontal infotainment system. We like the way it’s got the digital display, but it’s housed by these bands that make it look like real gauges all the information.
