The 2018 AMG G63 is equipped with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 563 horsepower. The drivetrain is an all-wheel-drive system and it has an automatic transmission. The estimated fuel economy is 12 city run and 15 highway runs.
The engine type that the AMG G63 has makes the car get a lot of power to move fast but the truth is, it is quite hard trying to drive it. The steering is not so great and the handling is even worse.
The 563-horsepower that the G63’s engine produces is way better than anything. During its performance testing, it ran from 0 mph to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. The seven-speed automatic is fast-shifting but the steering gets light, which makes the G63 hard to control at wide-open throttle.
What should have been a strong point for the G-Class is not. Summer performance tires, touchy brakes, exposed catalytic converters, and a side-mounted exhaust in the crush zone make the vehicle seem like it is more suited for the country club than the Rubicon.

The interior has lots of headroom but no space for arms, and the seats do not slide back far enough for even an average-height driver. The reason why the seating positions are compromised is because of the forward visibility which was made exceptional. The front can be seen from every corner. The rearview camera and sonar make the AMG G63 easy to park anywhere.

The 2018 AMG G63’s cargo area and cabin storage are surprisingly dissatisfactory. The cargo area is large but the back seat leaves a large step when folded and does not fold horizontally.
There is no actual front cupholder to speak of. The first one is behind you and the other is a weird mesh pouch. The door pockets are inconvenient. The center console bin is narrow and deep.
When the rear seats are raised, the 40.3 cubic feet of space is dead-flat and offers handy tie-downs. The seats flop forward, but they crash into the front seats while doing so which makes them less useful.
