People Are Freaking Out Over The Interior Quality Of Xiaomi's 34 million naira Car

Xiaomi, a smartphone manufacturer, has recently revealed its first-ever electric vehicle called Xiaomi SU7. It is a sports saloon with a low-slung design that is being compared to the Porsche Taycan rather than the Audi e-Tron. The launch of this new electric car has caused a stir among EV enthusiasts, with the company citing a six-month waiting list, just days after the vehicle was launched in China. The vehicle received an impressive 88,898 orders in the first 24 hours.

The SU7, which is short for Speed Ultra, was unveiled in Shanghai in late 2023. It is the first vehicle that spearheads the company's £8.9 billion push into the electric car market, with more ambitious plans ahead.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun stated at the car's debut that the company aims to become one of the world's top five automakers within the next 15 to 20 years and to lift China's overall automobile industry. The electronics giant is rated as the world's third-biggest smartphone manufacturer with a market share of 12%, and this bold ambition shows its confidence in entering the auto industry.

The SU7 EV's launch has generated a lot of buzz, especially regarding the impressive interior quality of the car. It is priced between $30,000 and $40,000 and aims to integrate with Xiaomi's existing ecosystem of smart devices, creating a seamless "Human x Car x Home" experience for users.

Despite being a newcomer to the auto industry and facing challenges amid political tensions between China and other countries, Xiaomi has set ambitious goals to become a top global automaker within the next two decades.
